Sheldon Hotel , Eastbourne (5 days)

You can look forward this year to having the Studio, your accommodation and meals all in one comfortable well-placed hotel. The Sheldon is within easy walking distance of the sea and the town centre facilities, including the new Towner Arts Centre which is just around the corner.

The holiday price includes tuition and materials and morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. For residents it also includes en suite single accommodation, full English breakfast, and three course evening meal at the hotel. There is a bar at the Sheldon that you can relax in before or after you dine.

As the theatres are so close, you will have several opportunities to attend a matinee and/or evening performance. These visits are optional and not included in the price.

The June and September holidays offer the choice of ink painting or tapestry weaving, while the March holiday is ink painting only.

Luther King House, Manchester (5 days)

August 10-15

This Manchester hotel is set in two-acre grounds in the leafy south of the city - an ideal venue for ink painting. There is email and internet access, ample free parking and a fully licensed bar.

Creative inspiration in Ireland (11 days)
Three hotels in different locations on different dates

April 14-24 Rosscarbery, County Cork; July 7-17 Clonakilty, County Cork; October 14-24 Kenmare, County Kerry.

Your choice of date/location and ink painting or tapestry weaving.

Rosscarbery: The April holiday is based in the Celtic Ross Hotel, a luxurious tranquil place with beautiful views and lovely walks right on our doorstep. We will have a large light room as our Studio where we will spend mornings for tuition. In the afternoons you can choose whether to carry on with your creative work, or explore the local sights - or enjoy the hotel's holistic spa. There is a heated pool, sauna and gym facilities and a range of treatments you can book, with a 10% discount. A perfect way to rejuvenate inside and out after a long winter.

Clonakilty: In July the venue is O'Donovan's , a fifth-generation family-run hotel in a colourful, friendly town where traditional Irish musicians receive a special welcome. In the evenings you'll have your choice of live music throughout the town or at the hotel, where they often play late! Or you may choose to return to our Studio and remain literally above it all. Nearby are beautiful landscapes for us to enjoy and this will be an Irish experience to remember.

Kenmare: The Lansdowne Arms - our venue in October - is an elegant hotel in one of the loveliest towns in Ireland, well known for its friendliness and excellent restaurants. Beare Peninsula is close and its microclimate provides incredible landscapes. We'll take excursions as well as enjoy the comfort of the hotel and all that the town has to offer.

Included: The holiday cost includes flights, transfers to hotel and return to airport, excursions, entertainment, ensuite accommodation, breakfast and evening meals, tuition, studio access and art materials. Lunch and drinks are not included. There is a 10% discount for non-participating partners.

Festive Umbria, Italy(11 days)
Villa Roncalli, Foligno, Umbria

November 4-14 (ink painting), December 18-28 (ink painting or tapestry weaving)

The Villa Roncalli is a very special venue, offering the best food and wine Umbria has to offer. This year there is the added bonus of matching our holidays to the festive season.

Preparing for Christmas: Italian style: On the November ink painting holiday, you can combine exploring beautiful Umbria with making preparations for Christmas. We'll paint winter images and you can each choose one that I will arrange to be made into 50 Christmas cards for you. We'll also have time for some Christmas shopping in neighbouring towns.

Christmas at Villa Roncalli: Christmas is a lovely time in Umbria. We'll enjoy painting or weaving in the mornings in a large upper room with a log fire. We'll then take in Christmas celebrations in Foligno and the nearby hill towns as we fancy. Christmas at Villa Roncalli is relaxing and special.

Self-catering apartment, Foligno, Umbria, Italy

Available for rental throughout the year is my apartment in the 13th century Perchietti-Seggi Palace in the heart of Foligno.

This elegant and beautifully restored two-bedroom apartment sleeps up to six people and is ideally situated for exploring the medieval town and many nearby places, including Assisi. Served by a mainline train station, Foligno is only around two hours from Rome or Florence and only 40 minutes from Perugia. Ryanair provides bargain flights from Stansted Airport to Perugia.
